Outstanding Citizen of the Year
About the Award
When The Roger Valcourt Outstanding Citizen of the Year Award was created it was to be presented to an individual who had made a significant contribution over one's lifetime to improving the human condition in the Fall River Area.
This award was named in honor of Roger Valcourt because of his commitment in Fall River and his involvement with the Chamber. Mr. Valcourt died in 1979 very suddenly at the age of 59 and in 1989 the Chamber decided to name this award after him as a tribute to him.
